I know the ideal thing to do is not bring a puppy home until it is 12 weeks old so that it will be well socialized and fully weened from its mother. What if 12 weeks is not an option and you bring the puppy home at 6 weeks? For those of you who have gotten their puppies at 6 weeks were their any real problems that you think could have been avoided if they had stayed with the mother longer? Are their any lasting affects or were you able to work through it and you puppy has turned out okay?
