I am sorry to hear Max is having problems. Renal failure is easily diagnosed with blood work. I would start there if your vet hasn't already done that. There is a lot they can do to help them live a pretty normal life. A special diet, fluids etc. I have a very old dog that is in renal failure and he sleeps all the time, drinks a lot and pees a lot but your baby is so young. It could be many other things so I would start with blood work and possibly an ultrasound to check for stones. Please keep us posted.
