I think that's just a personal preference or it can depend on the dog. They sell little trial sized bags for like 5 bucks so you could try and see which one your furbaby likes best. Some people rotate through the formulas too, buying a different one each new bag. That's good to do as long as you're not dealing with a sensitive tummy because they'll get the added benefit of different protien sources
