We don't take long car trips so Tibbe is put in a small airline type carrier with a see-through door, small holes all over it and windows in the sides with a slot that the seatbelt goes through. Since he is encased in this hard carrier with its little fuzzy rug and his blankie, I can travel with him in the seat beside me since my vehicle has no back seat and I don't have to worry about the airbag breaking his neck so much.
