Actually KY is the best thing to use. Now, I don't know any other way to say this so I'll just say it. His testicles were not out he had a little hard on & it was probably from cleaning himself and it Will happen again so next time it happens don't panick just wait for a few minutes and it will probably go back in by itself. It is best to keep the hair trimmed short so it does not go into the sheath when his PP goes back down though. When the hair is long it sticks to the PP & sometimes will prevent the PP from going back in all the way. I don't know but I'm guessing this is a young dog ? and probably why you have not seen this happen before as he's most likely just figured out how to clean his parts.
