Everyone:
My plan is to call or go and talk to the manager at the groomer's (when I have a chance). I will explain what happened and how I am unhappy. I don't expect much other than that. I will not be taking Rylie back there, so a coupon or a free cut wouldn't help me. I am a business student and am not naive enough to think they would refund me anything after this long.

I am okay with that though.

However, it pains me to see her scratching her ears and shaking her head all the time

We have to give her an ear wash once a day and antibiotics twice a day. I'm hoping it will clear up soon! My poor baby.
I will let everyone know how the insurance claims turn out. Trupanion got back to me and said they received them and will be processing them as soon as possible. It is my first claim so they will take a bit longer than future ones, or so I was told.
