I've gotten up and left a meal once or twice. I make a conscious effort to not impose on people that way, but I think Britster's plane scenario fits my point better. The times when it really isn't possible to leave, and the crying baby or over-tired toddler really can't be helped. Getting glares and mutters from people for those situations is what makes being a mom with no choice but to take your young kids with you where ever you go so much more stressful. Sometimes it feels really unfair to be made to feel that way by people who just are not understanding. Most are, but some are just crotchety about it. |
