I buy them in the bag from them too, and I have not had any problems. I think it depends on the temperature they are kept and if the bag draws any moisture. When you buy them individually, they are set out at room temp and can dry. When I get them and open them, I leave the top of the bag cracked open. I don't close it back up so they don't draw any moisture. Does this even make any sense? Something else I do is cut them in half. Speaking of stretching the buck it helps, and still satisfies the need for chewing for about 20 minutes each sometimes longer.
