Preterm labor My daughter is 25 weeks pregnant and her contractions started. She went to the hospital where they said she was dehydrated and her amniotic fluids were very low. However two days before she visited her OB and had a sonogram done and her levels were fine. They were able to stop her contractions with magnesium sulfate. She was on that for 48 hours, took her off, did another sonogram, only to tell her that her levels were fine and are sending her home. I am so, so worried for her because now that they have determined that the person measuring her levels when she first came to the hospital - must have made a mistake - there is no reason to keep her there. But.......... what caused her labor in the first place???? and who is to say that it won't start again?????
Anyone have any thoughts, recommendations, advice??? Anything?
Thanks. |
