Try this old wives tale that really works to prevent having to use chemical flea sprays & bombs in your home. Go to the laundry detergent section of your local grocery store or dollar store. Buy the Borax detergent and sprinkle it in your house - on your couches, carpets, anywhere a dog might lay or walk. Be sure to sweep it along wood trim baseboards as well. Let it sit for several hours then vacuum up (I left overnight while we slept & vacuumed the next morning). The Borax detergent will "dry up" a flea's exoskeleton and kill it without chemicals.
