At four months they should be standing by not or at least on there way.

I would suggest doing what I have done with much success and have the entire ear shaved, both (front & back.) That will take the extra weight off of them and help them to stand up. Dont worry about how it looks, it will grow back. You may have to do it several times before you will notice any change. You can alway give them a gentle massage a few times a day also.

But on the other hand...you can do and do and do everything to try to get them to stand and some just do not. The term is called Heavy Leather, meaning the ear it self it too thick and will not stand. I have three with ears up and one ears down.
