My prayers are with you and Boopie. You are often in my thoughts, and with the exception of your worries over Boopie, I hope each day is getting easier for you. My Ashley was almost seventeen when she passed away, and she was always an incredibly picky eater. We struggled to find things that she would eat, and I'm sure that reinforced her refusal to eat unless it was something she particularly liked...that day! She had dementia, IBD, and gas pockets caused from trachea issues which made things more difficult. We also had a number of pills she needed to take, so getting her to eat became even more imperative. She was very active until days before she died, and sometimes we didn't understand why she wouldn't eat. I would definitely have him checked out to be sure and also check his teeth. We suspected part of Ashley's problem was her teeth, and once her doctor was reasonably sure she could survive anesthesia, we did a dental on her. It made a huge difference in what my little girl would eat. |
