Tek had his patella surgery on Friday...he had the femoral groove deepened, repositioning of the tibial crest, pin inserted to hold joint stable during healing (it comes out in 8 wks) and some ligament work. He has Legg Perthes in that hip that was not caught until about 3 wks ago and he is 3 so they did all they could to help with the patella problem. Now the problem...he is feeling way to good already :/ He is wanting to jump and go up the steps outside...I am having to watch him like a hawk...any suggestions? The vet said "those lil devils can't be trusted and u need to keep a hand on him at all times if not crated" and now i know why she said that
He is also licking the wound a lot..do i need to get the lamp shade thing? Any input is appreciated.
