That's how I felt too. People could have enjoyed the walk around the lake, had lunch etc. They handed out goody bags when you registered that had people and dog treats in them for the walk. The area is beautiful too. All the rescues had tents set up with info, free stuff and things to buy. But some people made a donation and left, others donated, walked and left like us. Very few brought their dogs and walked them due to the weather.

The turn out was nothing like we hoped for. I'm sure the donations could have been much more with sun and warmth. However today the wind is blowing harder and we had snow flakes! We lived in AZ for years and didn't do outdoor things due to heat. There is no Utopia. lol
