Hi Welcome to Yorkie Talk, Teddy is a cute little guy.

I think the first thing I would do is have him checked to make sure he is not in pain as suggested.

If everthing turns out okay with that it may be that Teddy is just making you his "person" which is okay but he cannot be agressive while doing so. SophieKate does this also when the cat wants some attention, what I was taught is she needs to learn that that is not acceptable. iIf she is going to act that way she cannot be on the couch at all. That took about three times of removing her and it being a fight but she learned that was not acceptable and even now if she tries to act agressive towards the cat she is removed from the situation.

Thank you and your girlfriend for rescuing Teddy, from the pictures it looks like you got a gem and now he just needs to figure out where he fits in.
