| I would take the food and water out of the crate. make a place where he can eat and poop away from where he sleeps. unfortuantly yorkies at that age are very small so even the smallest crates have to much room. you may want to try the ones with the divider.
I dont use crates except for sleeping at night. durning the first few weeks when i would wake up at night for my bathroom break, I would take my boy out to potty also. there we no accidents (at least in the crate Ü) and slowly I strated letting him hold it til the morning.
