Not an expert Hi,
I'm FAR from an expert, but I'll tell you what I was told...1. if the puppy came from a pet store they are more likely to eliminate in their crate since that's what they did there, and 2. the crate should not be too big for your puppy b/c then he might poop in a corner. It's pretty ironic that I am telling you this b/c I bought my puppy (3 months old) a huge play pen that looks like a fenced in area for when I go to work. I didn't/couldn't leave her in a crate for hours. I figured I'd buy this huge play area, put her bed and food on one side, and a pee pad on the other so she could go in there...and she doesn't go!!! You want yours to stop going, and I want mine to start. Isn't that funny? Maybe some of you have any ideas on how to get her to go while I'm not home.
