It was just a tiny amount of blood, mostly mucous. If anything out of the ordinary happens (vomiting, another strange stool, etc.), he is definitely going to the vet ASAP. His normal vet is a 24-hour emergency clinic and would already have all of his records on file. Vet appointment is not today because she said it wasn't an "emergency" yet and the first appointment I could schedule was for tomorrow morning.

Good to know about the kibble. He is fed on a schedule and has already eaten this morning - so he will have chicken and rice in place of kibble tonight. Any guidelines as to how much I should give him? He is three years old and weighs 5.5 pounds.

Thanks for all of your guidance. I feel so worried, but he is running around being his normal crazy self. My brother will be watching him until 2pm, and he is well-instructed about what to do in case of emergency.
