Mucous/bloody stool Levi's stool has me concerned! This morning, there was mucous with a hint of blood near the end of his stool. Stool wasn't watery or bigger than normal. He hasn't been vomiting or acting strange at all. He is been eating and drinking normally, and is up playing now.
I've already called the vet, who assured me that since he wasn't vomiting or acting odd, I do not need to take him in for emergency care. She said the main concern is the bit of blood in the stool, and suggested I make an appointment to take him in. Appointment is tomorrow morning at 11 AM - the first available appointment I could get!
Someone will be with Levi constantly until his appointment. My brother will here be with him until 2pm, and then I am going home to watch him like a hawk until tomorrow morning. We will call the vet/take him in for emergency care if he begins vomiting, has more blood in his stools, or acts out of character.
Levi is acting like it's no big deal, but his mommy is worried! I love that little guy so much! Any clue as to what this might be? The vet listed some possibilities, but said she wouldn't know anything until she actually examined him.
