The first two nights we had Baxter, I crated him and he cryed all night. I dont like my pups running around all night. On the third night, we put the crate by my side of the bed, and he went to sleep, slept all night every night since then and starts to make a little noise in the morning to let me know he has to go. He is 12 weeks old and is not wetting in his bed or poohing for the last week. He just didnt like to be alone. So I guess thats what I do. I have crated all my dogs when I am gone and my two mini wieners will got to thier crate, just because they feel secure there. I think Baxter will too. He has an x pen for days and only gets crated at night or when we leave. This way he doesnt think it is punishment. Hope this helps |
