Question Why has my female's Heat Cycle seem to have to have stalled ?

I am wondering if it is possible for a female to Not go into a full on heat once they start. My female has been somewhat swollen for almost ten days now, but she has no blood show not even pink or slightly pink. I see no difference in her except being a little swollen. The only thing that I have noticed is a little moisture. Today she seems to be not as swollen as in days past.

Why isn't she gong into the standing stage of her heat?

She is due to come into heat, and hit it right on target. The only thing that has changed is that we have gotten our male Yorkie neutered. I have read that a male can sometimes force or how ever you want to say it a female to go into a full on heat because of the hormones. I may be wrong but I am wondering if having him fixed has anything to do with why she has not gone into the estrus stage of her heat cycle.

Other than the possibility of a false heat, Does anyone know what could be going on with her?
