Definitely agree that this is the way to go. I use FF and have slow issues from time to time. You need to use a program like CCleaner to clean up your system. Also, FF plugins and extensions can add an extreme amount of slowness to the browser.
Also check your memory. Go to Local Disk (C: ) properties, General tab and you'll see how much memory your computer has left.
