Eucalyptus plants, mainly the stems and leaves, and oil are toxic if ingested. I wouldn't put pure Eucalyptus oil on a dog or cat. However Eucalyptus is an ingredient in many shampoos. I don't know if its eucalyptus extract, oil or whathaveyou, but when in shampoo it is very diluted and safe for dogs.
