when bathing dogs with dry itchy skin, keep the water a bit cooler, not cold, but cooler than lukewarm. and use a lot of water, hydrate the skin well. a good pet shampoo, oatmeal or hypo allergenic, followed by a remoisturezing conditioner. between baths, spritz with emu oil.
