I know it's frustrating, but that's actually not too bad for 22 weeks old

. alot of the people here said it took up to a year for their yorkie to be totally housebroken. I recently researched WHY toy breeds are harder and I read something that makes alot of sence - dogs don't naturaly want to eliminate in their "den" (that's why you can usually count on them not going in their crate), but to these tiny dogs, our homes seem HUGE and it's harder for them to grasp the idea that the whole thing is our/their "den". Plus, they have really small bladders and have to pee pretty frequently (especially when still a puppy).
i didn't want to do pee pee pads either, but with Alice, it just seemed like a necessity. If you really don't want to, you'll have to confine her to a small area of the house (like in an ex-pen or to one room such as the kitchen) in between potty breaks (unless you're watching her very closely and can catch her in the act to take her outside quickly) until you can trust that she's truely housebroken.
