I followed the advice on using Tear Mender and paper bags when my Biewer girl, Jolee, was 4 months old. I left the "braces" in her ears until the glue began to let go (7-8 days) and then rubbed her ears with baby oil gel until the paper fell out. Her ears were up and have stayed that way ever since. (She is about to turn 7 months old.) Easiest thing I can imagine, and GREAT results! No pain for the puppy, no irritation, no "redoing" it every other day, and nearly invisible to boot! My vet thought I was a genius -- thanks for the good advice, YT!
Keep the ears shaved down, too. We keep Jolee's "tipped" (about the top third, inside and out), which my groomer does for free in between grooming appointments.
God luck! It's certainly worth a try! |
