How many dogs visit Home Depot or any other store for that matter on a daily basis, who have never had a negative incident! Why don't we hear about those stories? Why must we always focus on the negative, and then build a policy to avoid it? Punish the woman who's dog bit (I think she has been fined, and the dog now requires a muzzle to be in public) and let it go....However, sad, the store clerk as also learned an important lesson...never stick your face in a dog's face, esp if you don't know them!!

But don't ban the rest of us, who love to take our dogs out...
Well said My boy is an angel, but he is scared to death of children and has started growling at them (no action just growling) and so I don't take him anywhere unless I know the kids that he'll be around that way I can slowly re-introduce children to him, if I see a child I leave. I don't want to give a bad reputation to the breed or my dog handling skills. As for the employee that is unfortunate. I can see in the case of dog attacks by pits or whatever that it isn't the victim's fault always (a family friend just survived a huge pitbull attack) but in this case the employee stuck her nose in the wrong place.
