Piper didn't show any pain in the beginning when I noticed she was walking with a roach back. She was still running and playing so I wasn't concerned at first. When I noticed she was carrying her hind leg once in awhile I thought something was up and I got concerned. I would bend her back leg and she showed no pain but decided she should be seen by the vet. When the vet manipulated the hip area Piper cried in pain. After x-rays we knew Piper had Legg Perthes and she had surgery within the week.
