My almost 14 y.o. daughter has jealous tendencies that I try to ward off. She gets mad that every time I walk into a store I
have to go to the pet section,
I try to explain to her that I did the same when she was a baby. (not pet, but baby section
).
It's hard now, I can't just walk into the Juniors section, see something cute & throw it in the cart-it's not going to cost $5.00!!
As for attention, I have drilled it into her head that it's our responsibility to lavish Princess with love & affection as both animal lovers & responsible pet owners! She does seem to understand that.
