- it's fine to give him meat with his dog food, but meat alone doesn't have all the vitamins and minerals that a good quality dog food does, so if you want to go the route of using people food, you'll have to look up a vet nutritionist for recipies to make sure his diet is well balanced and he's getting everything he needs.
