Default Exposed to a puppy with worms

I started dogsitting a 14 week old rescue puppy (Boston Terrier/Beagle mix) last Monday and Jackson came with me every day last week and played with him mainly inside, but we went for quick 5-10 minute on leash walks too.

The owner informed me that the vet told her this weekend the puppy tested positive for hook and roundworms. Should I be concerned for Jackson? He was around him all week for about an hour an day. He is on Iverhart Heartworm preventative (which says it's for heartworm prevention and "to treat and control ascarid and hookworms in dogs"). He was never around his poop or anything but did not know if there were other ways to catch it.

Do you think I should get him on a dewormer anyways? I'm not really sure what the protocol is.
