Default teeth

It is very normal for older Yorkies to lose adult teeth..especially the smaller ones. It is best to have a dental check each year and have the loose ones removed..they can only cause worse problems if left alone. It leads to gum problems..but even worse is the heart problems from bacteria..ask the vet to explain.
Yorkies do wonderfully with missing teeth. Most do not lose the molars and canines until very late in life or ever..but since the average life span of a toy is 12 yrs..you can expect some tooth lose by 8 or 9..best wishes
