I've never tried a harness like that...but will be looking forward to hearing other replies...I always worried that it wouldn't "hold". I feel much better with an actual buckle or in the case of the step-ins...a double D ring to clip onto. Have you ever thought of just using a nylon step-in harness for the beach? It would be cool, I think, and not collect the sand...although I don't know how it would feel wet...?
