I agree with the bile acid testing. Lucy has had several and they are relatively inexpensive.

Lack of appetite is one sign of liver issues.

I will say that Lucy had an 'episode' when she was a puppy that intially started out as gas. She would run somewhere; flop down; could not get comfortable; run somewhere else; flop down . . . etc.

She had gas. The vet said that sometimes puppies run away from it because it hurts their tummy; they don't understand what it is and are just trying to get away from it.

My son still laughs that Lucy had to go to the vet because she didn't know how to 'fart'.

However, she also has liver issues and we found out by requesting a bile acid test right after this episode.
