I used to go to a Board Certified Vet Dentist... they can do wonders. Fix broken teeth, gold caps on k9 teeth, correct bite problems, jaw surgery, he basically can do anything they can do for humans... at a cost.

The use of Ultrasonic scaling is the norm and has been even 25 years ago when I did dentals as a tech (under vet supervision).

A Board Certified Dentist will be more expensive, but may not be neccessary for routine cleanings, baby tooth extractions, or simple adult tooth extractions.

I truly believe that routine dental work (cleaning, polishing+preventative included, and minor extractions) shouldn't cost over $300-$350, done by a regular vet.
