Welcome! Sassy is gorgeous...such a sweetheart.
I have no breeding or in heat experience, (much prefer spay for health & safety), but from what I have read on here and seeing all the (oops, my dog is pregnant threads) shorts will not do the trick if she is in heat. I believe they have to be separated 24/7 and the only 100% guarantee is if for the male is removed from home until the full cycle is over.
