I give my dogs a variety. Beef, buffalo, lamb, fish, duck, chicken, venison, and have even fed quail (Primal Raw). One of my 15 year old IGs has IBD and I can't feed her chicken or beef, so most of the foods I've been buying don't have those proteins.
