I LOVE my mac. I was sooo virus prone with my PC, that and it was sooo slow. The other benefit, when I killed my pc it was because I tripped over the cord and instead of breaking the cord I broke the inside of the computer
so the magnetic plug is a huge bonus.
Definitely get a warranty. I'm a little over a year old, and my cord just died one day. A week later my friend had the same thing happen to hers. I had a warranty and my new one was free. Friend however had to pay for it.
