In 2009 I volunteered as a nurse at the 3 day Stand Down for Homeless Veterans in San Diego. It was eye opening to see what has become of many of those who have served and very rewarding. I'd do it again if I have the chance to get back to San Diego. Last year I volunteered with Project Medishare to treat the people of Haiti who were injured in the earthquake. It made me grateful for all I have.
