Wow! 1 cup per day for a 2.9 lb pup? Do pups eat more than adults? (I realize as I'm typing this it may be coming off as offensive, it's not meant that way, I'm just truly surprised). I ask because my teapots are 13 and 15 lbs and each only get 1 cup per day. If it goes up at all that start to get pudgy.
Just curious. We feed Solid Gold Holistique blend. One of my babies has severe allergies and does really well on this food
Edited to add: Just reread and see that the op is talking canned food. Maybe that's the difference. It makes sense with all the moisture added that you might feed more canned. Sorry, my input probably doesn't help since op is asking about canned.
