First things first you need to get the fleas under control. Vacuum, vacuum, vacuum, and dump the bag out (or if bagless, dump the contents.) There are flea sprays for upholstery that you need to get for the couches, chairs, any carpet that you have. I have Teddie on Revolution heartworm meds with flea prevention, so far so good, have had the other dogs on it too and never had an issue.
I am a BIG fan of tea tree oil. I put some water in a regular spray bottle, add 10 drops of tea tree oil, shake, and spray dogs with it. (no eyes, no face--NOT to be ingested!) Fleas don't come near me or my dogs...Good luck!!!!
