I can only say about my 4..The males were harder to housetrain, very protective of what they consider theirs, take the routine of grooming/baths easier, have a tendency to run after everything and try to (excuse me) hump everything else when excited, love to play, BUT, love to be held and cuddled and want to be within eyesite of you at all times, bark and are hessitant around new people but NEVER get car sick. The girls though not related are both very independent..they are the first to explore new things, but stay not far from Momma, both only tolerate grooming and can't wait to play. Seem to take to new animals better than the boys. Both girls love meeting new people, going places and new things and don't know a stranger which is scary. Neither wants to be held, but will lay by your side all day!
So see...male/female...I think are both excellent...I thought I was a female dog lover only until I received my first male yorkie...Yes we have different issues, especially if you do not have your dogs fixed (a whole diff. issue) but let me say a little boy will just STEAL your heart away!
I am fortunate to have BOTH!! So thank goodness I don't have to choose because I don't think I could anymore!!
Just find a good breeder pick the pup you want...you will be so happy.
