I do think dogs can be too attached- although I don't know how concerned about it I would be at 16 weeks old. I think it is good for dogs to be confident enough to be left alone sometimes. There are times where I need to go out, or go away, or where the dogs need to be left at the vet or groomer. I think it is good that they are confident enough to be away from me and know I will return to get them. I would hate to have a dog that cried anytime I left the house or caused such a commotion that I had to have them supervised at every second.
