I work a 40 hour full time job. Pnut is left in his pack n play next to sliding glass door, he has food, water, toys, and pee pad (but he holds it). I also leave the TV on, I take him on a 15-20 min walk in the morning before he goes in. When I get off work at 4:30 the first thing I do ( if DH isnt home yet) is go home to take Pnut out of his Pack N play and take him on a walk. If I have ANYTHING to do after work I make sure I take care of him first. I go tanning a lot and I will never go after work, I go home. Half the time I walk him to go tanning. ( My tanning salon is across the street)

After work when I am home, he gets another 15-20 min walk. Before bed and I play with him for about an hour, maybe longer depending on his mood.

I make up being gone during the week with weekends, I never leave him alone on the weekends, and he is never in his pack n play. He is either with me or with DH. If I do have something to do where I cant take him, he is with DH.

Also he is free to roam at night, he will usually sleep in his crate, but he has the choice to go where ever he needs to.

Having a full time job and having a yorkie is like having 2 full time jobs, but I wouldn't change anything. I make sacrifices and so does DH, it kills me enough to leave him all week, I wish I didn't have to, but thats Life.

To me it sounds like you are too busy, but I do think it would be able to work if you made some sacrifices, if you do not want to change anything then don't get a dog.
