Oster or Andis for clippers, different groomers have their favorite brand for specific reasons. You should be able to purchase the Oster Golden A5, or the equivalent Andis clipper for less than $150.
Other items you might want to consider:
*grooming table
*Hair dryer either w/stand or an arm that attaches to the table that will hold the dryer
*extra clipper blades
*ear cleaning solution
*If you have not groomed before, you might want a grooming DVD. I got one from a member here that currently sells them on ebay. She explains all of the products you will possibly need, and goes through various cuts, step by step. Or, there are grooming videos here in the YT grooming section.
