Food allergies occur after repeated exposure to an ingredient over a long period of time so they are even less common in a puppy. You've only had her a month, right? |
This.
RC has made a lot of Yorkies itchy, butif it is a sudden thing around this time ofyear in the south, my guess would be environmental.
Antihistamines don't always work for environmental allergies in dogs, but they are usually worth a try. You could call the vet and see if they thought you should be using one. They need to be given for a bare minimum of ten days ot see if there is any relief. So if you called now and started one, then by the appt. on the 285h you would have a little bit of an idea if it was working or not... It wouldn't hurt to do an elimination diet though.
