Default Yorkie drooling in his sleep

My 1 year old male yorkie has just started droling excessively in his sleep, leaving a pool of wetness under him. I took him to the vet today and they administered a bloodtest to rule out any kidney failure from some sort of toxin. He also mentioned it could be something lodged in his mouth of throut...??? Chewie rawhide? I have read where it could be an extra tooth, which he has! and also reading about Hypoglycemia. He could be tired, but he doesn't seem lacking in nourishment...10.3 pounds. Cab anyone help?????
