I meant no disrespect. We all love our Yorkies and I'm not debating that issue. The topic was on motorcycling pet carriers, and nothing is going to ever be comfortable or safe enough. Just an opinion from a person who had motorcycled for over a decade. Someone tried to warn me and I didn't listen. Not until it was too late. If you choose to motorcycle, that's up to you and I'm not debating it. But if you're in an accident on a motorcycle with your Yorkie, your pet will lose every time either emotionally, or physically, or both. If you ride with your pet between you and your husband and you hit something, your pet will be crushed. You can't stop it from happening no matter what you think you could do. We were going 55 down the highway and suddenly stopped without warning. With my bleeding pelvis and the multiple contusions between my husband and I (among many other things), what do you think would have happened to a six-pound Yorkie? All I'm asking is for you to please think about it. I'm not angry at anyone. Just wanting to add a side to the topic. |
