Not sure if anyone else knew of this update --
In 2009, a class action lawsuit was filed by California residents against Petco and Old Mother Hubbard (successor is Wellness Foods). The complaint alleged that the company made a false claim that it contains only "human grade" meat when it really contained other portions of the animal that would not consitute human grade quality.
In November, 2010, the court dismissed the plaintiffs' complaint with prejudice. See,

This means the plaintiffs cannot file another case on the same claim and further means that other courts won't hear it either.
There is no stated reason, but my guess is that the judge though the case was a dog... No pun intended.
