I was waiting for this and I'm surprised it took this many posts before someone started with the negative comments. This is a personal decision and one that is no different than deciding to get on a motorcycle at all. We all know the risks everytime we ride. The OP asked a question about equipment, not whether or not she should ride with her pet. Lets stick to the topic and not open a moral debate about whether or not dogs should ride on a motorcycle.
Sorry to hear about your accident and your husband but again, we all know the risks everytime we fire up the bike.
